How to Let Go of Control and Trust in God
Do you struggle with how to let go of control in your life? Do you lack trust in God and the ability to walk by faith? Try this prayerful meditation of faith.
Every soul who wants to see God one day, face to face, must surrender all desires and live to do His divine will in this life. Every Christian should make daily prayers to the Eternal Father asking for the grace to do His holy will in his life. The divine will of God for you is the most perfect and the best life you could possibly have. This is because God loves you with perfect love and everything that happens to you is by either His permissive will or his divine will.
When you do not choose to follow Him and obey His will for your life He will allow what is called His permissive will. Maybe you remember a time when your parent gave you advice on how to best do something and you chose not to listen. Perhaps there was a bad consequence and it made you suffer. In the same way God allows us to make choices that go against His holy will for our lives. Sometimes these choices are irreversible choices. This is why it is very important for Christians to pray for the grace to know and to obey the divine will of God.
Pray these prayers to help you discern the will of God and also for the grace to obey it. Often when we are given signs to show us the Lord’s will we are also tempted to turn away from it and do something else. Sometimes we can’t understand why we ought to make a particular choice and this can often force us to do something contrary to common sense, even. But when we trust in God and put our faith in Him, always this choice eventually becomes clearer.

In today’s Psalm from the Liturgy of the Hours we contemplate the Lord, who knows our innermost thoughts and whom we cannot escape.
If we intercede for souls, we must unite our own will with the divine will of God. When we do this and we pray for His divine mercy on a soul we are saying, “Please God, may Thy Will be done.” The divine mercy of the Eternal Father heals the soul in need of grace, especially the ones in most need of His mercy, it is drenched in love.
The Lord knows our thoughts and the movement of our hearts, so when we enter into His presence, in the silence, He speaks. I began with an appeal, “Jesus, Life and Truth, Let the Kingdom of God come.”
What does it mean to have a quiet life consoling Christ? Why would He, who is God, need me, who is wretched and broken, to console Him?
