Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,

I come to Thee burdened with worries, fears, doubts, and troubles.

Calm and quiet me with peace of mind.

Empty me of the anxiety that disturbs me.

Free me from the concerns that weary my spirit and weigh heavy on my heart.

Loosen my grip on the disappointments and grievances

I hold on to so tightly.

Release me from the pain of past hurts,

of present anger and tension, of future fears.

Sometimes it’s too much for me, Lord.

I fall into despair over too many demands and problems,

too much sadness, suffering, and stress.

Free my soul from the sin of despair

and give me the grace to have gratitude

and to trust in Thee in the midst of my suffering.

Help me to remember Thy passion.

Give me the grace to love the cross Thou has given me.

Through Thy passion and death I am forgiven of all my transgressions.

By this cross of mine, Thou shall teach me to love Thee and know thee.

I thank Thee for this suffering. Help me to suffer according to Thy will.

Let this be my strength.

Renew me spiritually and emotionally

by the power of Thy Precious Blood,

so that I may serve Thee and abide by Thy precepts

And show true charity toward others

whose sufferings far surpass my own.

I ask all this in the Name of the Father and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit
