Most Holy Trinity, One God, you show us perfect love as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three divine persons united in one nature. As parents of young children, each with their own individuality and nature, we ask you for the grace to help us be a united family that loves and lives together in harmony.

We acknowledge the opportunity you have given us to imitate the holy family in virtue, and so we ask you to mold our hearts to live as Christ has taught us in the Gospel. You have entrusted us with our children. Help us bring them up in the way they should go and prepare them for eternal life in heaven.

Holy Father, we humbly ask for your assistance to make us instruments of your grace as we raise our children in love. Please give us the grace we need to fulfill this sacred duty you have bestowed upon us. Help us live our vocation as parents with competence and love. Teach us what to give and what to withhold. Show us when to reprove, when to praise, and when to be silent. Make us gentle and considerate, yet firm and watchful. Keep us from the weakness of indulgence and the excess of severity. 

Most Humble Jesus, please give us the courage to be disliked sometimes when we must do necessary things that teach self-denial and service to others. Help us to discipline our children with mercy and love when they disobey and sin against you or others. When we struggle and suffer, please give us the grace to pick up our crosses and follow you.

Holy Spirit, our Paraclete, please also give us the imagination we need to enter into our children’s world so that we can understand where they are coming from and guide them gracefully. Give us the inspiration we need to follow the Word and to obey the Church as we make decisions in our day-to-day lives. Please increase in us your spiritual gifts so that our parenting will be a blessing to our children and fruitful. Please grant us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in difficult situations. Help us discern how to help our children know and pursue their future vocations. Please enable us to make sound moral decisions and provide wise guidance as our children grow and develop into adults.

Holy Trinity, One God, we ask you to grant us all the virtues we need to lead our children by word and example. Please equip us with the necessary virtues so that we can provide proper guidance in raising our children. We sincerely ask for all the graces you can give us to raise our children to become holy saints. We sincerely desire for them to one day enter into the joy of a true and everlasting home with you in heaven. 

We ask all this in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
