The Unity Prayer and Flame of Love devotion, which includes the “Adorable Jesus” prayer, is part of a movement that started in Budapest, Hungary. The Flame of Love devotion comes from mystic Elizabeth Kindelmann, who from 1962 to 1985, when she died, received messages from Jesus and Mary.
Unity Prayer and Flame of Love Devotion Approved as Private Devotion
The Unity Prayer and Flame of Love devotion has been approved by Cardinal Peter Erdo of Budapest, Hungary, as a private association of the faithful. Elizabeth Kindelmann was born Elizabeth Szántò in 1913. In 1962, at the age of 49, she began getting locutions, which are also called private revelations, from Jesus and Mary. Elizabeth recorded these locutions in her diary, which has an imprimatur from her local bishop. Her messages compliment the messages of Our Lady of Fatima. In both messages, the faithful are asked to devote themselves to prayer, fasting, and offering sacrifices in reparation of the many sins of modern man and to save souls.
The Flame of Love Diary by Elizabeth Kindelmann
In Elizabeth Kindelmann’s diary she tells us that Our Blessed Mother gave her the following prayer to add to the Hail Mary in the Holy Rosary after we say, “pray for us sinners”:
Spread the effect of grace of thy Flame of Love over all of humanity
Elizabeth Kindelmann records in her diary that the Virgin Mary has been given by Jesus the ability to offer “an outpouring of graces so great that they have not existed since the Word became Flesh”. This Flame of Love bursting forth from Mary’s Immaculate Heart will blind Satan by the Grace of God. When Satan is blinded by this Flame of Love, then souls can turn toward God for reconciliation and repentance.
The Blessed Virgin instructed Elizabeth to share in her work through prayers, sacrifices, family holy hours, and fasting.
The Purpose of the Flame of Love Movement
The movement of the Unity Prayer and Flame of Love devotion joins the faithful in consecration to Jesus and Mary in the work of bringing about the salvation of souls during our troubling times. In the United States, Archbishop Chaput gave an imprimatur on a condensed version of Elizabeth Kindelmann’s diary for the people of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
"The grace from the Flame of Love of My Mother's Immaculate Heart will be to your generation what Noah's Ark was to his generation."

My Adorable Jesus,
May our feet journey together,
May our hands gather in unity,
May our hearts beat in unison,

Prayer for the Propagation
of the Flame of Love
Blessed Virgin Mary,
our cherished heavenly Mother,
you love so much God and us,
your children,
that you offer us to your divine Son Jesus on the Cross,
to forgive us by our Heavenly Father
and to obtain our salvation,
so that all those who believe in Him do not perish
but obtain the Eternal Life.
With a filial confidence, we pray to you, Virgin Mary,
that with the Flame of Love of your Immaculate Heart,
kindled by the Holy Spirit,
you ignite in our languid hearts the fire of a perfect love for God
and all the humans, so that together with you,
with one heart, we love God and our neighbor.
Help us to transmit this Holy Flame
to all the people of goodwill,
so that the Flame of Love
extinguishes the fire of hatred everywhere on earth
and that Jesus, the Prince of Peace,
be the King and the center of all the hearts
in the Sacrament of His Love
on the throne of our altars.
AMEN.

Opening Prayers
Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

The Annunciation
The Annunciation to Mary inaugurates “the fullness of time”, the time of the fulfillment of God’s promises and preparations. Mary was invited to conceive him in whom the “whole fullness of deity” would dwell “bodily”. The divine response to her question, “How can this be, since I know not man?”, was given by the power of the Spirit: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you.” (CCC 484).
We offer you, O Lord Jesus, this first decade in honor of The Annunciation, and we ask you through this mystery and through the intercession of your holy Mother, the gift of humility. May the Holy Spirit give us wisdom and understanding to dominate our passions and overcome our pride.
The Gospel according to Luke chapter 1 verse 28 “And when the angel had come to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you.”

The Visitation
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.” John was “filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb” by Christ himself, whom the Virgin Mary had just conceived by the Holy Spirit. Mary’s visitation to Elizabeth thus became a visit from God to his people.
Mary, the all-holy ever-virgin Mother of God, is the masterwork of the mission of the Son and the Spirit in the fullness of time. For the first time in the plan of salvation and because his Spirit had prepared her, the Father found the dwelling place where his Son and his Spirit could dwell among men. (CCC 717, 721).
We offer you, O Lord Jesus, this second decade in honor of The Visitation, and we ask you through this mystery and through the intercession of your holy Mother, the gift of love of neighbor. May the Holy Spirit give us the knowledge to understand the ways of God through being a good neighbor to all, even those who persecute us.
The Gospel according to Luke chapter 1 verses 41 and 42 “Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”

The Birth of Our Lord
The Holy Spirit prepared Mary by his grace. It was fitting that the mother of him in whom “the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” should herself be “full of grace.” She was, by sheer grace, conceived without sin as the most humble of creatures, the most capable of welcoming the inexpressible gift of the Almighty. It was quite correct for the angel Gabriel to greet her as the “Daughter of Zion”: “Rejoice.” It is the thanksgiving of the whole People of God, and thus of the Church, which Mary in her canticle lifts up to the Father in the Holy Spirit while carrying within her the eternal Son. In Mary, the Holy Spirit fulfills the plan of the Father’s loving goodness. Through the Holy Spirit, the Virgin conceives and gives birth to the Son of God. By the Holy Spirit’s power and her faith, her virginity became uniquely fruitful. In Mary, the Holy Spirit manifests the Son of the Father, now become the Son of the Virgin. She is the burning bush of the definitive theophany. Filled with the Holy Spirit, she makes the Word visible in the humility of his flesh. It is to the poor and the first representatives of the gentiles that she makes him known. Finally, through Mary, the Holy Spirit begins to bring men, the objects of God’s merciful love, into communion with Christ. And the humble are always the first to accept him: shepherds, magi, Simeon and Anna, the bride and groom at Cana, and the first disciples. (CCC 722-725).
We offer you, O Lord Jesus, this third decade in honor of The Nativity, and we ask you through this mystery and through the intercession of your holy Mother, the gift of poverty in spirit. May the Holy Spirit strengthen our desire to live like the saints by giving us the gift of counsel.
The Gospel according to Luke chapter 2 verse 7 “She gave birth to her firstborn Son. She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:7

The Presentation in the Temple
The presentation of Jesus in the temple shows him to be the firstborn Son who belongs to the Lord. With Simeon and Anna, all Israel awaits its encounter with the Savior-the name given to this event in the Byzantine tradition. Jesus is recognized as the long-expected Messiah, the “light to the nations” and the “glory of Israel”, but also “a sign that is spoken against”. The sword of sorrow predicted for Mary announces Christ’s perfect and unique oblation on the cross that will impart the salvation God had “prepared in the presence of all peoples”. (CCC 529).
We offer you, O Lord Jesus, this fourth decade in honor of Your Presentation in the Temple, and we ask you through this mystery and through the intercession of your holy Mother, the gift of obedience to Your Holy Will. May the Holy Spirit give us a holy fear of disobeying God and sinning against Him.
The Gospel according to Luke chapter 2 verses 22 and 23 “When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord.”

Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple
The finding of Jesus in the temple is the only event that breaks the silence of the Gospels about the hidden years of Jesus. Here Jesus lets us catch a glimpse of the mystery of his total consecration to a mission that flows from his divine sonship: “Did you not know that I must be about my Father’s work?” Mary and Joseph did not understand these words, but they accepted them in faith. Mary “kept all these things in her heart” during the years Jesus remained hidden in the silence of an ordinary life. (CCC 534).
We offer you, O Lord Jesus, this Fifth decade in honor of Mary’s finding You in the Temple, and we ask you through this mystery and through the intercession of your holy Mother, the gift of spiritual joy. May the Holy Spirit give us the gift of fearlessness so that we have both joy and hope even in suffering.

“This Flame of Graces coming from My Immaculate Heart must go from heart to heart. It will be the Great Miracle whose Light will blind Satan. It is the Fire of Love and of the Union. We shall fight fire with fire: the fire of hate with the Fire of Love! I obtained this Grace from the Eternal Father on your behalf by virtue of the Five Blessed Wounds of My Divine Son.” – Virgin Mary to Elizabeth Kindelmann (diary).
