Why Does This Website Exist?

In 2020, when churches went into lockdown, adoration chapels closed their doors around the world—and many never fully reopened. The main author of this website, Anonymous C, had felt a quiet call that same year to build something for the many souls suddenly cut off from the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

Some of the earliest prayers on this site were written from memory—recollections of adoration experiences before the lockdowns, used first for livestream Eucharistic adoration when nothing else was available. I Am Jesus grew out of that season of absence, as a way of never letting that silence happen again.

About the Author

I write here as “Anonymous C”—a name I chose in 2020 and have kept ever since, not out of secrecy, but because this site was never meant to be about me. It’s meant to point you toward Jesus in the Eucharist.

I Am Jesus is an “I owe You, Lord.”

In February 2020 Jesus asked for daily visits to Eucharistic adoration and busy with a full time job, I chose not obey Him. When my church was locked down on March 16, the weight of that disobedience crushed my heart.

Many of us think we can do things or not do them according to our own desires. Discipleship of Christ is an amazing experience, but it requires obedience and a lot of effort.

What I can tell you: I entered the Catholic Church through RCIA in the 1990s, after years of searching that began with a childhood healing I didn’t fully understand until much later. Since then I’ve served as a catechist. It was through discovering Eucharistic adoration that daily Mass grew to be central to my life, and it’s out of that same devotion that this site was born. By profession I’m a writer, with a Master of Arts in English and a background in digital media, which is simply to say: the words here are cared for, even if the person behind them stays out of the picture. I live in the United States, and it’s from here that I write and pray alongside all of you.
