Why We Launched This Prayer Community

Experts claim that the 21st Century is the “anti-social” century. More and more people, especially young people, feel disconnected from their local communities and spend a majority of their time online. People are searching for truth and for something that will fill the void. In most cases, they wind up trying things that take them further from God, and when they decide they want to come back to God, the very first place they go to is the internet.

This is the reason we are launching an online social prayer community platform. We launched I Am Jesus website 5 years ago, and since that time we have received hundreds of prayer requests from people who are away from the Church and seeking help. We also receive hundreds of prayer requests from faithful Catholics who ask us to pray for their loved ones away from the faith. We want you all to meet each other and be a blessing to each other.

Grow in Faith Through Community

This vision is HUGE, and a total leap of FAITH. We need to cast a big net and we can’t do it without your participation. As a visitor on the I Am Jesus website you are one of hundreds of people who come from all over the world every single day to pray to God. You are unique and different from every other visitor, yet we have Jesus in common, so you are my brother or sister in the Lord. We are one in Christ, even though we are so different in many ways.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of meeting people with tremendous faith and knowledge in the faith. We have welcomed many readers to our pages who are studying in seminaries and monasteries, who are consecrated to the religious life, serving as missionaries in foreign lands, who are faithful daily communicants, who work in lay professions that help and heal our sick and poor, as well as converts from other religions. It has been an honor to meet you over the years and share the love of Jesus with you.

This community welcomes everyone, and we pray that after you register you will register, you will participate in our Prayer Community. There will be no vibrant prayer community without you.

When Two or More Are Gathered in His Name

Over the years we’ve received hundreds of prayer requests from devout Catholics and Protestants, as well as those with no formal catechesis in the Catholic faith or a denomination of Protestant Christianity. God works in mysterious ways and he calls people to himself from every background, religion, and way of life. You are so deeply and intimately loved and desired by God, and he comes to you in a unique and personal way.

We see Jesus doing this in the Gospels as we learn how Jesus called each disciple to walk with him in unique and intimately beautiful ways. He doesn’t call the qualified. He first calls us and then he makes us qualified. If you feel nudged right now by hearing this message, prayerfully consider participating. Our Prayer Community will not be accessible through Google search, so in order to participate you will need to sign up with a username and password. It is completely free and will remain completely free.

The I Am Jesus Community is meant to give you a chance to meet others and forge online spiritual friendships that nurture and encourage. If you are a faithful Christian who has a rich prayer life, please join and offer your love of Christ, knowledge of the faith, and willingness to pray for those who are seeking God and needing accompaniment. Many people who post prayer requests are alone and isolated. We try to answer every request, but sometimes there are too many and we can’t answer them in a timely manner.

There is a famous parable in Luke 8 about a farmer who sows his seeds, but only the ones who fall on fertile soil take root and grow, producing good fruit a hundredfold [Luke 8:4-8]. This prayer community is an effort to help people take root and grow, producing good fruit for the Kingdom of God.

This community will only thrive if you are willing to give of yourself for the love of your neighbor. I am asking you to prayerfully consider doing this.

In our prayer community, we freely connect with other people, some further on the path than ourselves, and some not as far along. We are in this together, and I hope that you can love and help each other grow in faith. We encourage you to share your positive experiences with Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my heartfelt invitation. I pray this prayer community will help our members grow and thrive in the coming days, months, and years. I pray that we will support each other on our faith journeys and that those who come here lonely and isolated will leave here feeling loved and connected to God and their neighbor.
