The Church teaches that faith is a theological virtue we can only acquire through God’s grace. Faith allows us to believe in God, his revelations, and the truth as revealed through Jesus Christ and his Church. Faith is also described as a virtue that allows us to love and obey God.

The Litany of Faith in My Heavenly Father affirms the love the Father has for you and asks for grace to trust in his loving presence.

I will remain in your word, Lord. You promise that when I do this I will know the truth and it will set me free.

Faith in Jesus Christ is never doubting in my impossible situation but hoping against hope that God will answer my prayer and come to my aid.

God, you will preserve me from my enemies so I entrust myself to you. My shield and my deliverer, teach me humility and self-abasement.

I will not forget. Lord, you are the God who saves me. I have been washed clean, forgiven, and redeemed by your Precious Blood.

I will let go of control. I trust in the Lord and humbly submit this affliction so with faith I will call upon the Lord to heal me.

Probe my mind and test my heart Lord. I desire you above all things. Reward me according to your ways; I trust in you.
