Freedom from addictions is possible if you can surrender to God and trust completely in Him to give you the grace to overcome habitual sin. If you have a problem with a particular sin and you can’t seem to control your urge to commit it, this prayer will help you overcome it. Remember what Christ taught us in scripture. In addition to your prayers, you must also avoid any contact with a person, place, or thing that can cause you to fall into temptation. Jesus also taught us that some sinful habits can only be broken through both prayer and fasting. May I strive to be an instrument of reconciliation and mercy to those who have hurt me along the way, and may I seek heartfelt forgiveness from all those that I have offended.
