Litany of the Holy Eucharist Prayer. This adoration prayer honors the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and is part of the Order for the Solemn Exposition of the Holy Eucharist, a liturgical rite in the Catholic Church used for special days of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Litany of the Holy Eucharist prayer is part of this liturgical rite which includes various other adoration prayers, scripture readings, and homilies aimed at deepening community meditation on the Eucharist. This prayer can also be prayed privately while in Eucharistic adoration any time.
When prayed in church, the congregation’s responses are marked with (℟.), and the leader’s versicles are marked with (℣.).
"The Eucharistic presence of Christ begins at the moment of the consecration and endures as long as the Eucharistic species subsist. Christ is present whole and entire in each of the species and whole and entire in each of their parts, in such a way that the breaking of the bread does not divide Christ."
