Who is Jesus Christ?

What is the Bread of Life?

Jesus says “I Am the Bread of Life” but for too many people, this is just an empty title that has no meaning. For them, it doesn’t stir the heart toward love. They just simply think that “I Am the Bread of Life” is a metaphor.

Jesus comes to us in our weakness because His entire essence is pure love. We come to know Jesus by spending time with Him, and as we spend more time with Him we all eventually come to realize that we are obligated to surrender to Him as proof of our love. When Jesus says “I Am the Bread of Life” He means it literally. We have to trust in this truth and meditate on how this could be. Without a full surrender to God’s divine providence, we will not receive the grace He wants to give us. We have to cooperate with it. This is what Paul meant when he talked about being transformed by the renewal of our minds (Romans 12:2).

What Brought You Here?

I want to ask you something because you are here. Why are you here? Have you had a remarkable experience with Christ? Are you seeking Him, trying to discover what you can do to remain in communion with Him?

Jesus meant it when He said, “I Am the Bread of Life.” He meant it literally, and He also meant it when He said “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you” (John 6:53). Truth is not as relevant as the world would make us believe. All around us, we see the destruction of God’s divine order and the prevalence of avarice and greed because people do not want to truly follow Christ. We make Him into our own image, rather than take Him for His word, at face value.

Are you wondering how you can take your experience with Jesus Christ and have it change the way you are living your life? Do you need a miracle? Jesus says “I Am the Bread of Life” because it is through Him that we have abundant life. I want to challenge you right now. Let Jesus take you on a journey to discover His Real Presence in the Eucharist.

Jesus says, "I Am the Bread of Life" so believe Him.

Are you really desiring God? Do you really want to feel His presence in your life? You have to come before Him in the Blessed Sacrament and completely surrender yourself to Him. Jesus is truly present to us in the Holy Eucharist. The only way to know this is to go there and kneel before Him and pray. He longs for His people to know Him, and to truly love Him. When you come before Jesus, who says “I Am the Bread of Life”, He will give you the power to turn away from the things of this world. You will fall deeply in love with Him and become a true disciple.

The Bread of Life is the Source of Christian Life

Notice what John begins with. He begins by saying Jesus is the Bread of Life. It all starts here. When we begin to live our lives around the Bread of Life, we begin to live in communion with God in all areas of our lives.

Jesus is your living Bread, your Light, the only Gate to Heaven, your Guide in dark times, the very One who has the power to Resurrect you and give you Life. He is the only Truth you will ever know and be certain of in this life. And to have all this, you must stay on the Vine

What is the Vine? It is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ, given to you in the holy Eucharist.

This is why when you try to be a Christian without the Eucharist, you have no life in you. You literally lack the Bread of Life that feeds you supernaturally and sustains you. Just having that longing, and seeking to come into full communion will give you grace. If you orient your entire life around the Bread of Life — the new manna from heaven (John 6:58) — Jesus will give you tremendous graces. What are you waiting for?

In the Book of John, Jesus calls Himself "I Am" seven times.

Jesus says: I Am the Bread of Life (6:35), I Am the Light of the World (8:12), I Am the Gate (10:7), I Am the Good Shepherd (10:11, 14), I Am the Resurrection and the Life (11:25), I Am the Way the Truth and the Life (14:6) and I Am the True Vine (15:1).

The Seven I Am Statements of Jesus

What does this mean? The number ‘seven’ in the Bible represents “fullness” or “completion” – so this means any time you see something said seven times or in seven ways you have to take notice. What is Jesus telling you here? He is saying that He and He alone completes you and fulfills you.

Yes, Jesus alone fulfills you.

What is Holy Eucharist?

Consuming Jesus, Bread of Life

How can Jesus fulfill you? Jesus wants you to come before Him in the Eucharist and believe in Him. Jesus is real; He is God. He is physically present in the Holy Eucharist. He is physically present in the world, and we will testify to this here on this website so that you may come to know Him and love Him.  He knows all things. Nothing in your life escapes God. No thought, no word, no deed (Psalm 139). He is intimately aware of your intent and knows your heart. When you come before Him in the Eucharist, you will feel His presence.

Finding Jesus in Adoration

Discovering Jesus, Bread of Life

The Holy Eucharist is the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the communion host that has been consecrated by the priest in Mass. It contains the Source and Origin of all grace, which is Jesus Christ, the Second Divine Person of the Holy Trinity. The Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that is really, truly, and substantially present. This belief is the oldest Christian teaching about the Eucharist. The Church teaches that the Eucharist is the source and summit of the faith. It is the food that Jesus Christ promised us.

What is Adoration?

Praying before Jesus, Bread of Life

What is adoration of our Lord? Adoration is loving Jesus in the physical presence of the holy Eucharist. Your heart will be changed through a powerful experience with Jesus Christ in Eucharistic adoration. Learn about this beautiful ancient form of worship and grow closer to the risen Christ. Find reflections and prayers of Eucharistic adoration here to help you discover a personal relationship with Jesus during the silence of Eucharistic adoration.

Grow Your Love of Jesus in the Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist will create in you a clean heart. The devotion to Christ in the Eucharist will draw your soul away from vice and toward virtue through a genuine love and intimacy only found in a committed habit of prayer.

How Can I Learn to Obey God?

How can you learn how to obey the Lord? You must learn how to pray with humility, from your whole heart. You ought to establish consistency and discipline in prayer. Pray always. Live in a state of constant prayer with the Beloved. Speak to Him throughout your day. Develop the habit of asking permission before making important decisions – and have patience.

The Lord is beyond the realm of time.  He knows your mistakes before you make them and that you will. And in spite of your wretchedness He loves you. But His love is not enough to assure your salvation. You must do your part to grow in relationship with Him, to turn away from sin and evil, and to become His disciple. His disciples follow His will. If you are in a state of sin and away from the Lord, then you must make a genuine confession and turn away from your evil ways in order to be saved.

Sr. Lucia of Fatima said, “From now on we are either with God or we are with the Devil. There is no middle ground.” Meditate on this and ask yourself, “Who am I with?”

What if I Am Unable to Receive Jesus right now?

Because Jesus is truly present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in His Glorified Body in the Consecrated Host, you may have to either be catechized and enter into full communion with the Church in order to receive Jesus or you may need to repent and so that you can once again receive Our Lord in the Eucharist worthily.

When You Cannot Receive Jesus in the Eucharist

Not Catholic?

If you are unable to physically receive Jesus in the Eucharist right now, and you would like to, then you must visit Him in Eucharistic adoration, and do it regularly. Begin developing a daily prayer habit and come to Him frequently for the grace of conversion. If you are not in full communion with the Church then inquire about being catechized. Jesus says, “I Am the Bread of Life” and the life He gives is real food, so come before Him and pray to Him.

No longer practicing your Catholic faith?

God can and will forgive you if you are truly sorry for your sins and if you turn away from the evil you have committed and renounce it. A full valid confession and a commitment to never again commit the sin is all you need for true repentance. If you struggle with feeling remorse for sin you need to ask the Holy Spirit to give you true contrition.

No sin is unforgivable except the lack of desire to repent and do the will of God in your life. Look at Blessed Bartolo Longo as an inspiration. He was a satanic priest who repented and turned from his evil ways and was redeemed by God.

You are loved by God and He desires to reconcile with your soul. It doesn’t matter what you have done. You just need to have a heart willing to repent and stop the sin. To be able to receive Jesus in the Eucharist you must be in full communion with the Church and in a state of sanctifying grace because the Catholic church believes in the Real Presence of Jesus in the communion Host and one cannot receive Jesus unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:23-32).
