For a productive and respectful online prayer group, we ask you to abide by some general rules: maintain confidentiality, be respectful toward those with differing beliefs, and keep communications focused on prayer requests and encouragement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confidentiality:<\/strong> Treat all shared prayer requests and personal information with the utmost confidentiality. Our prayer community is not public, so please do not share this information outside of our group without the explicit permission of the poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Respectful Communication:<\/strong> Please maintain a respectful and encouraging tone in all interactions on our community website. Avoid negativity, criticism, or judgment. Everyone in our community is on a journey and each person\u2019s path to holiness and virtue will look different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Focus on Prayer and Spiritual Encouragement:<\/strong> There are many things we can share in our community, but our goal is to share prayer requests, answers to prayer, and spiritual encouragement. Avoid all unrelated topics and discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Be Mindful of Others\u2019 Beliefs: <\/strong>The I Am Jesus website promotes Catholic interpretations of the Bible and beliefs stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Not all of our guests hold these beliefs or understand them. We ask our community members to refrain from promoting beliefs contrary to Catholic dogma as a means of evangelizing Catholics. We also ask our community members to refrain from aggressively promoting Catholic theology as a means of evangelizing non-Catholics who are not explicitly seeking to be evangelized. We have established a Group called Learning the Faith<\/em><\/strong> for those who want to ask theological questions about the Catholic faith. This is the place to ask and answer questions in a nurturing and charitable way. Everyone is on a journey to know and love Christ, and we seek to allow our members to come to the fullness of faith in a peaceful and nurturing way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Timely Responses to Prayer Requests:<\/strong> We encourage our community members to login weekly and respond in a timely manner when new prayer requests are posted. When someone is in need of prayer and encouragement, it is important that we show they are being heard and cared for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Encourage Participation:<\/strong>\u00a0It is our hope that our prayer community become a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing prayer requests and participating in the group\u2019s activities. When a new member joins, please reach out to them and make them feel welcome. We have a special group called Introduce Yourself<\/em><\/strong> that every new member should join when they register. Make sure to leave a short introduction about yourself when you join the group and please comment on other introductions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Celebrate Answers to Prayer:<\/strong> When one of our community members has an answer to prayer, we encourage them to post updates and positive news. This will help all our members see the power of prayer and it will encourage us all in our faith journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Use Appropriate Language:<\/strong> We ask that all members of our community use respectful and appropriate language when posting on our platform. Please refrain from using profanity, hate speech, personal attacks, and any language that is offensive, demeaning, or discriminatory. Members who break this rule will be expelled from the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Use Chat Features Appropriately: <\/strong>Our platform offers private messaging among members. These are to be used constructively for sharing prayer requests and offering encouragement. Avoid using chat for other reasons. Users who receive unsolicited chats are welcome to contact the administrator to complain about unwanted messages. Users who send inappropriate messages to other members will be expelled from the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members Should Join the Prayer Request Group: <\/strong>We have a group established for posting all prayer requests. This is a public group that will list prayer requests from all our members. You may also request friendships with other members so that when they post in their activity stream you will be notified. We ask that our members post about prayers answered in the prayer requests group as a comment to their original prayer request, so that all members can see them directly under the original prayer request post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Share Our Prayer Community with Others:<\/strong> We encourage our registered members to share our community with others that may want to join.
